Do I meet each Nanny??

Updated: Apr 13

Absolutely!!!!

I set the agency up during lockdown, therefore unfortunately, could only do video call interviews. I must admit, I hated this for a few reasons; I don't like talking to a screen, and there's so much that can get missed.

The moment I was able to welcome nannies face to face, I jumped at the opportunity.

Why do I feel it's so important to meet nannies face to face??

It allows me to judge:

1. Punctuality - If a Nanny arrives on time, it gives me reassurance the Nanny will be punctual in any future role.

2. Commitment - If a Nanny is committed to travel to meet me, this shows they are committed to finding their next role. It's easy to load up a computer screen/use a phone for a video call, but planning a journey whether it's a short/long drive or a train/bus journey shows commitment.

3. Organisation - I ask all Nannies to bring a variety of documents, this way, I get to verify the authenticity of each one, and I like to read through their file knowing they are then fully prepared for an interview for their next position.

Meeting each Nanny in person allows me to get to know them, find out exactly what they are looking for, ensure they are fully ready and prepared for their next position and know they will represent themselves to the best of their ability.
