Job spec: A very busy and active family of five is seeking a fun, relaxed, flexible and energetic nanny who can bring a positive and motivating influence on their children. The family has three children aged 15, 8 and 6, each with their own interests and personalities. The eldest enjoys spending time with friends and socialising, the eight-year-old has a passion for football and other sports, and the youngest loves football, computers and drawing.
This role would suit an experienced all-rounder who is confident in managing a varied skill set. Alongside full nanny duties, the position includes PA-style support with family logistics, holiday support and travel assistance when required. The family leads a very active lifestyle and enjoys travelling frequently. Mum is particularly interested in health and fitness and regularly attends the gym, while Dad has a strong passion for car racing.
Day-to-day responsibilities will include getting the children up and ready for school, preparing breakfast and completing the school drop-offs. In the afternoons, the nanny will collect the children from school and either take them to after-school activities or support them with homework, followed by relaxed game time. The role also involves preparing dinner, supervising mealtimes and overseeing evening and bedtime routines. Light housekeeping duties relating to the children will be required.
There will be opportunities for occasional travel with the family, including trips to America, Mallorca, where the family has a second home, and ski holidays. At times, full-time care may be required when the parents are travelling.
The ideal nanny will be warm, confident, adaptable and happy to fully integrate into a busy and dynamic family environment. A willingness to be hands-on, whether playing sports in the garden or supporting the children with their homework, is essential.
Additional benefits include access to a gym, a mobile phone and contract provided. As trust and a strong working relationship develop, there may also be access to the family’s home in Mallorca.
